Headlong Learning

Headlong

People are busy.

Sometimes learning new skills doesn't seem possible. Organizations often can't give their employees time to take multi-day or even full-day courses. Volunteers can't take a lot of time off work for training, either.

I've taken that into account in designing my Headlong Learning sessions. In as little as three hours face-time, I can help focus communications in your organization or define your organization's stories.

Headlong Learning is not a cookie-cutter, 101-level communications overview. I tailor each session to an organization's character and needs. All sessions are highly participatory. Learning can be applied immediately and effectively.

Take the plunge

Communications Planning

Define organizational communications objectives and brainstorm strategies to meet those objectives. We cover internal and external communications objectives and introduce fresh ideas into the communications mix. Take away a skeleton communications plan that addresses specific communications challenges and is easy to build on and adapt.

Media Relations

Develop a strategy to optimize the use of the media to spread the word about the work your organization is doing. Leave with a focused media plan that covers social networks and mainstream media to best tell an organization's story to the right people.

Media/Presentation

This is for organizational representatives who want to learn the skills to be confident media spokespeople or public speakers on behalf of the organization. Take away a CD of a taped presentation or media interview to review..

Finding Original Voice

This session examines the fundamentals—like language, tone and audience—of telling compelling organizational stories to build mutually beneficial relationships with individuals and other organizations. Take away a fresh approach to communicating about your organization.
